Tales from the Wargames Shed has been busy stripping 40 odd year old figures to repaint and base for The Royal Armies of the Hyborian Age. It is difficult to get hold of these Garrison figures but they pop up now and again! A parallel project using Minifigs is going well, phots to follow. Some Conans, Minot and the centre chap is Garrison, Garrison Nemedian Guard, Aquilonian and Nemedian Knights with Turan Cav and Aquilonian foot. Most of my units were 10 figure units and formed my Good Armies for Warhammer Ed One in the 80s, so I am often just short of the odd couple of figures to build a unit. I have spoken to the owner of the molds, so there is hope!

Nice to see the old figures getting some paint.

I had a whole bunch of these as a kid! I remember playing The Royal Armies of the Hyborian Age a couple of times with them. We had picked up a couple of copies with the intention of playing out some grand campaign at the local club, but after a couple of games we gave up and never got back into the rules.
But we did play through a 9 month campaign using another set by the same publisher Archworld!

Lovely lookin’ old-school figures.

I'd love to see the Garrison figures back in production.

:o :o Superb (for their age and context) I've never seen these figures before.

I’d have to order some Garrisons if they became available again. I didn’t have units of them BITD, but we did have the odd NPC in our D&D collection.
