Title: Dimensions for 40k Imperial Guard tanks
Post by: Bergil on 12 February 2022, 01:29:54 AM
Looking to scratch build the tanks of the imperial guard or astra militarum using foam sheets and such.

Whilst the scratch built tanks will look reminiscent of the original imperial guard tanks I'll want to put my own spin on 'em. Though more importantly for gaming they should share the same basic size of the original models. Some people can be very picky about that sort of thing...

Don't have any IG tanks to hand having sold them off years ago. So if any of you have a leman russ or chimera tank in your collection could you please give the overall dimensions of the length, width and height of each vehicles hull including tracks, though not including sponsons, weapons and the like. Inches, centimetres, mm, whatever makes you happy.

Thanks in advance.

Very helpful, thanks mate.

Do wonder if those measurements include the sponsons, pokey out guns and whatnot though!

Nice to see you back on mate, unfortunately I traded off all my IG vehicles ages ago to the nice chap who made the Spugs figures (are they still available does anyone know? My Spugnaught is still unbuilt  lol )

Happy to be back, more time and money on my hands, minds feeling clearer and better than ever before, been such a joy to start getting into the hobby again rather than just trying to sculpt random nonsense.

Those spugs were awesome, hopefully there's some 3D files somewhere you can use.
