Hi everyone,
I am working on painting up forces for 28mm Cold war. I am certainly not a superstar painter but I thought I would share.
I have been inspired over the years by what everyone else is doing that it is my turn to post and hopefully inspire others.
To start I have painted up some Underfire Miniatures Soviet Infantry. These figures are well sculpted and perfect for 1980s Soviet Infantry.
The lack of a camo uniform makes the really quick to paint! Compared to the British infantry I painted they were done in half the time.
So far I have finished 12 of these but my plan is for a whole platoon with BMP-1s. I am participating in the Analog Painting Challenge and using that to motivate myself to get these done.
I will post more as I finish them up.

Off to a decant start.
-
Great result. Empress do a good looking BMP-1, should go well with these.

Next up are BMP-1s for the infantry. These are resin printed bobmack3d models. Great detail and paint up real nice. I have two of these painted up for now but will be adding many more.
I also have several different BMP-1 variants I will be adding to my Soviet Forces.

Nicely painted figures and BMP-1.
I like the look of the Underfire Minis.
Well done.
-
yeah, well done! That BMP looks the business...
-
Hell yeah. looks great.
-
Nicely done both troops and tracks. I think the 1/56 BMP is a good choice overall. People often underestimate just how small they are (for a tracked IFV?APC).

Hello All,
The next units for my Soviet Cold War force are 3 T-64s. Technally there are 2 T-64As and a T-64AK Command Tank. I also got another BMP-1 painted up. More to come. These model are 3D Printed from Bobmack3d.com.

As owner/operator of Under Fire Miniatures I approve this thread and the painting of the RMR infantry.

Excellent work.

Got a GAZ-66 done. This is the first of many, you can't have too many trucks. I plan on doing several with loads in the back and at least one command version.
It was a lot of fun to paint up but I think it needs some mud on it! This was also printed from the bobmack3d.com Soviet Kickstarter.
