We played this 6mm I Aint Been Shot Mum game back in December and it gave me a chance to get my Commandos on the table for the first time. This scenario came from the Forgotten Battles from France to Germany, January to April 1945 scenario book from Anschluss Publ. The gist of the game is that the defending Germans are expecting the British to come from the west and have placed their defenses accordingly. However the Commandos have worked all the way round to the east and are launching their attack from that edge.
Germans are defending with a company from a SS training battalion and have 4 20mm Flak guns in support. The Commandos start with 2 Troops and get additional units later including a troop of tanks.
Made for an interesting all infantry game with a ton of Big Men/Leaders for the Commandos

Mark that is a great looking setup...

Fantastic looking game!

I know this is an old thread but we're the commandos from Adler? Do you have any closeup shots I'm looking to add to my collection
-
Mainly Adler and then I used Ros Heroics Para for the other bits In 6mm its not an issue.
Thanks
-
Don't suppose you have any close up shots of the Adler poses do you?
-
Pretty standard poses of advancing figures. These are about the best I can do:
-
That's really useful thanks
I've been wondering what the advancing with bren gun figures might look like and how big a base needs to be for the prone figures, looks like you used 20mm or am I wrong?
-
Most 4 figure groups are on a US penny.
-
And the two figure prone sets?
-
Really don't recall but use whatever looks good and you'll be fine.
-
No worries if a US penny is about 20mm I guest those are about 15mm
Only asking as I've a load of his Airborne coming and no bases left need to know what to order and those looked perfect
All the best
