Hello everybody!
After two years of lurking, I thought it's time to introduce myself and if possible, to partecipate to some forums.
I'm 50, I'm Italian, I play wargames since I was 12 thanks to an elder brother. I started miniature collecting in 199...with the Old West Copplestone Guernesey (at the time) Foundry range and the GW WH40K Rogue Trader....still the best WH40K IMHO. Then I went through all the range "a la mode": Pirates, Back of Beyond, Darkest Africa, Victorian, Gothic Horror, Pulp, CoC, FFL, Frostgrave, ROSD, Stargrave and the last Silver Bayonet. Tons of lead still in box, tons just undercoated I'm a snail painter often carried by the wind of the newest. I'm actually painting Napoleonic ranges for SB. I think I've played just a couple of FtF games in my life (one SB last month) butI hope to play many more.
Thanks to all!!!
See you here!
For those who have IG I got a rubenrigillominiatures account where I slowly post my minis.....hut I think LAF will be a better place!

Welcome to the throng Ruben.
I'm a miniature collector as opposed to a gamer (although do collect old games). Snail pace painting is a skill I have also mastered!

Slow painting is a must! A real wargamer never hurries. :)

Qwirz, welcome aboard. A couple of questions If I may. Are there any Italian figure manufacturers out there? I only know of Mirliton. Secondly, and hobby shops in Roma? I come to Roma every couple of months for business and finding a shop would be an excellent addition to the food, wine and historical buildings.
