Post by: Lysandros on 24 March 2022, 04:32:34 PM
I am sorry to inform you that the legend Ian passed away early this week .A real legend who's 40mm games inspired many , set the benchmark , winner of 2 best of  salute games , brilliant painter , and a good mate . From the school of  Peter Gilder , excellence was always achieved.
Great memories of the weekend aways with Tony Runkee , Shaun Byrant ,Bob the Greek,  Bob the Italian , Bill Gaskin , Michael Carson and of course Ian , fun , caring and just a great bloke.

Oh no, I am really sorry to hear that. His big games were an inspiration and he encouraged me to keep going with 40mm Figures, Napoleonics in particular.

No doubt i’ll still hear him tut if I go down the route of Austrians!
