Hmm.. do you water the superglue? I imagine it drying too quickly.

I usually use (watered down) PVA, which can be applied easily with a brush. It takes more time than superglue but that makes it easier to work with and I don't mind having to wait a little longer to wait for the base to dry.

For static grass I use watered-down uPVA or white glue.  If I am applying superglue for small patches - I use a cocktail stick.

Finally 99p for a bottle of superglue, where on earth did you get such a good deal?

Man, that can't be good.

I use a stainless steel super glue applicator, which is just a fancy name for a very small (Size A or B) crochet needle. You put some superglue on a ceramic tile, fish some of it up in the hook of the needle and put it where it needs to be.

I of course only go through all that hassle when I need more control. Mostly, I am quite happy to squirt the stuff right out of the bottle.
