Title: The Old Glory Brigantine sets Sail
Post by: cianty on 07 October 2009, 11:21:14 PM
I finally finished the Brigantine from Old Glory. It took me quite a while as I made some modifications. You can read a full review of the model as well as about the extensions and WIP photos on my blog here (http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.com/2009/10/old-glory-brigantine-sets-sail.html).

I added two swivel guns from Games of War (http://www.gamesofwar.net/acatalog/Pirate_Supplies_Store.html):

I also made a custom pirate flag for Pirate Captain Redbeard:

Thanks a lot for the friendly comments, mateys! Glad you like the ship!

Games Workshop. The model is part of the Warhammer Empire Handgunners sprue. I ordered mine from BitzBox. Here is the blog post with the monkeys:

Due to the problem of limited space onboard the brigantine I wrote a little article on how to solve this issue. Maybe some of you find it interesting. If you read it, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!

You know this was one of the things discussed amongst play testers for LOTHS for those that may want to use larger ships and such...good thinking

I also liked the solution for the crowded ship problem, still waiting for my LOTHS rules to arrive though. When I have read them I can probably give some better founded comments than at the moment.
