Title: [GASLANDS] Time for a change of tactics, motorcycles instead of cars
Post by: Berndi on June 19, 2022, 11:12:22 AM: After relying on upgraded cars (rams, armor, fancy weapons, etc.) in Gaslands races so far and never once seeing the checkered flag even from a distance, I'm changing my tactics. Girl power on motorcycles. No frills, just lots of maneuverability and speed. And of course I'm very likely to fail epically again with this, because I once again decide on the wrong maneuver template or am rock-solidly convinced that upshifting is the better braking.

Post by: Daeothar on June 22, 2022, 12:27:36 PM: Ooh; Michi, are those 20mm? If so; where are they from? I still need a police bike to round out my Mad Max inspired team. I've got a couple of interceptors and an autogiro, but still need a suitable bike too.

And those look like they could do with a bit of extra work. Gotta give Goose a way to break his leg after all... ;)

Sorry, these are 28mm - I think they were done by Westwind, but I'm not perfectly sure now.

Edit: Just checked, yes they are Westwind 28mms. The bikes came with riders and dismounted/standing officers. There were some other motorcycles/riders as well.

Post by: Berndi on July 10, 2022, 04:13:32 PM: With this duo, my women-only motorcycle racing team is complete for now. They will hopefully end my admittedly fun series of failures to finally get across the finish line.

All STLs are from Albino Raven Miniatures and printed with resin, although I have completely reassembled some models that are not available together as a set.

The two bikes on the right are the modified ones, riders and bikes are not available together in this setup. I left out the actual bikes for these riders because they looked too 40K to me. That didn't fit with my ideas of Gaslands.
All STLs were part of a huge 3D Humble Bundle (Humble 3D Printable Models Urban, Apocalyptic Wasteland Bundle) which contained a lot of Albino Raven Minis, but they are also available for purchase individually at MyMiniFactory.

28mm, but since Gaslands is relatively insensitive to the exact scale, I don't see any real problems with the motorcycles, since the bases are very narrow and would also be ok for HotWheels scale. We have had very different scales on the table in the races so far anyway, be it from HW with 1/64 to SIKU with about 1/55 and no-names with 1/60. Scale ist not really that important with Gaslands.
