It all began with a board 115 x 85 cm...

It has scribbles on it!
-
That's HUGE :D
Oh to have the space, or a garage, or use of the lounge, or a decent attic, or... :'( ;)
Looking forward to seeing what this could possibly be :D
cheers
James

The timing of this contest is just right, I am just waiting for some stuff from former user to get going. As you maybe can see from the scribbles, it will be a train thing with an Untouchable touch. To meet the deadline will not be easy though...
-
Is that going to be a railway station :o :o
I am starting to think my idea is too small :'(

I am not going to vote for something just because it is large.
-
You don´t need to vote...because it will probably never be finished :D
-
You don't stand a chance
either this thing will be finished for my train to roll in, or I'll gun the construction site to pieces ;)
and be sure You have enough red flags to display ;)
maybe some welcome comittee with an ethnical dance company too...
or the Bolshoi Ballet ? ;)
will You have a night club in the basement too?
I think Trotzky feels a bit lonely these days...

I struggle a bit to find some balustrades for the upper level...
-
look at the one pic I sent You
would that be something?
it's the cheapest available
looks very good so far
how are You getting down to the platforms?
-
There will be stairs down to the platform + two other stairs not ready yet. Quite fun to build this :)
-
WOW Looking good so far :o :o :o
Looking forward to seeing this progress

Done some more work on the structures and put on the first paint. All floors are covered by "brick/tile-like" wallpaper which was a bit of a hassle. Still have to solve all the balustrades I need for the upper level. Next step is to finish all structures and 5 remaining staircases (3 to platfrom and 2 to upper level):

Wow. That's pretty big. And with some more terrain you could do some kind of battle in it too.
-
very neat Bo
this wallpaper is an interesting idea

of course he's doing this scenery just as a diorama, not for gaming in it ;)
-
Well that's no fun. All these pulp scenarios come to mind for such a setup.
-
former user is pulling your leg :D There will be battle all rigth. Watch "The Untouchables" and you will now what I am planning. In addition to gangster battles I consider French resistance vs their German counterparts. Maybe a London mob fighting it out with the police. Freikorps vs Spartakists. Vampire/Werewolfs....the list can be long. Anything late 19th century to present day will be possible. I have a lot of work left to work on all the detailing so it will take time until I will post the first battle report (and now I have this swamp idea to grapple with as well...and the Peninsular village....and the harbour....and the trenches...and the Berlin houses...ahhhhhhhh)
-
what?
now I'm dissapointed You militarist Swede ;)
I thought I would visit You in my summer Holiday, bring my 5 trains and rail, we connect them to Your station and sit down in the garden watching them run and drink some wine..... o_o
and the Your Capone gang blows up my armoured train that has brought the Russian mafia to Chicago, cauze they can do booze better...
sorry, not enough sleep this night :D
-
You´re welcome, just bring them along. It could be interesting what a militarist Sweden could teach a German :D
-
yes go ahead ;)
If everyone starts to tell me how militaristic, efficient, methodical, organized etc. I am, maybe I'll start to believe it myself. 8)

The project is slowly closing so I am afraid there will be no more WIP photos. Now I need to populate the thing. I am considering late 19th/early 20th century people. Any ideas where I can find the following:
-beggar
-street musician
-"ladies of the night"
Grateful for any help
