I am completing my "Shadow over Sebastian" TSATF meets Lovecraft setup, 10+ years in the making.
Since a unit of Seminoles is in the game, and I have two 20 man units of Maroons and crimiNoles (it's a Canes thing) and Miamis (daughter is 1/4 Miami, 1/4 Cherokee), I am doing terrain that will work for 1890s Sebastian AND 2nd Seminole War. Heck, it'll work now, it's my backyard.
My take on saw palmetto. Still finishing it up, but this is the basic style.
I need scrub pines. Gonna have to scratchbuild, I think, as they are not made by anyone. (Long, branchless trunk, and, well, scrubby foliage on top)
Suggestions? I thing the palmettos work?

Wow, fantastic. Well done, Smokey!

Those look great! When I use to live in the Florida area, I hated trying to bust through that stuff.

For your scrub pines you might try to find some Lodgepole pine models in the model railroad universe, will be a bit pricey but they might get you close.
Palmettos look the business.

Thank you guys. ;)
The palmetto are the treetops of plastic cabbage palms, 30 for 14 bucks on Amazon. I'll post link

Quite possibly the first time ever that a story starting with 'Florida man.......' ends well. Nice work.

All my stories start with "Florida man..", but lately it's not me. :)

Smokey, great job brother. Those really looks the business. I can feel them cutting my arms and hands just looking at them. Are you running anything at HurriCon-22?

Excellent, I will find your Dervish flags I made you and give them to you at the con. How’s Mary doing?

She's great! Playing a tournament in Orlando, then 2 weeks fishing in Arkansas!
