Aye, gave me a good giggle when I read about it last week. :)

Got to love that the main character is a Kickstarter exclusive...

Shipping cost is stupid.
Thankfully the figures will be sold on eBay, for fraction of the cost, directly from the back door of the Chinese factory, usually with free shipping.

The comments page is a good laugh.
But yeah, pass from me, if it makes it to retail I'll consider it, I have a few CMON games and like most of them.

I have no need for the game but the minis are interesting to me for other games. Gangers for Core Space for example. However it is getting harder for me to justify more unpainted plastic to add to my backlog. Too many projects, never enough time.
The comments section of the KS… well they do not make me laugh. Quite the opposite really.

The project shows it's probably better to wait for retail. The price is just insane...paying around €150 for a single board game. Sure it comes with a ton of plastic miniatures, but it's not that we need that much, now do we? Paying around €80 for something like this is fine, but this is just too much IMO. And after the last projects people seem to be very frustrated with CMON and how they handle shipping. This started with Bloodborne the board game and by now there is a lot of screaming around their projects. But hey...shipping is damn expensive these days. And they have underestimated shipping in the past (like with Bloodborne, the final shipping costs were way more than what they thought they would be), so I understand they estimate it very high now. But if they are that high...then Kickstarter isn't as appealing as it was.

I usually look at these games as a source of cheap(ish) miniatures. I have played a few games of zombicide and Death May Die, but the minis are the draw.
Unfortunately, the figures are on the upper end of figure size. They sort-of work with Stargrave sized figures, but look better against the new Infinity models.
The figures in this game look to be on the large side as well. I may eventually pick it up at retail, but even if their shipping values stay as they are, there would be little change out of $200 to the UK.
I did back Zombicide Invader, and I don't remember it being this complicated. I'd need to check, but I don't remember recoiling in horror at VAT or delivery charges. I know the rules have changed in the last few years, so maybe I was lucky.

Yes.
Put me down as another person 'waiting for the minis on eBay'.
