I forgot about this guy - the statue is from Monolith Designs. I painted him with a Pictish shaman in mind from Conan's world.

He was originally one of the Foundry Darkest Africa withchdoctors, unless I'm much mistaken [probably ::) ]. If not the pose is remarkably similar.
If so, you've done a great job of completely re-imagining the sculpt. He's just right for a Pict Shaman :-*
Did you give him a new head?

I believe Mark C originally did the pose first for the Grenadier Barbarians, which he then "recycled" for Darkest Africa. Its similar to his "recycling" of Future Wars poses.

SOmehow, this one seems to fall a bit short compared to the others - the painting looks fine, as usual, but I think it is the base that dwarfs the miniature. I assume this will be more of an "objective marker" rather than an "active player" figure, so that´s fine, I guess.
-
WOW :-*
I really like that.
The green face is great.

Ah! That makes perfect sense. In that case I might have to try and get hold of one :D

I think this miniature came in the priests pack. The one with the skull and dagger is still a favorite model of mine.

Are they still available? I know Em4 and Mirliton SG each have some old Grenadier figures in their catalogues, but without a long trawl through them, I'm not sure which :?

This one sadly (for you) appears to no longer be available (apologies for the rather poor quick pic)

There were 4 in the original pack:

The giant snake was paired with the shaman with the snake by Mirliton but was a seperate Grenadier miniature.

Thanks for the help, chaps. Shame Captain Beaky isn't available, but at least Ol' Green Face is, so that's good news :D
Not sure about the giant snake, though :?
The missing WWE wrestler is not a great loss, so I'm not bothered about his disappearance, but I do like the one waggling the skull.

Didnt realise he was part of the pack. Mine came in an Ebay job lot

Rather than a WWF outcast, I used him as a shaman/priest calling on the Gods, as part of my HoTT army.

Excellent, a terrific old miniature I was not aware of at all, that one will go on my wish list, as he will make a great Pictish wizard. Which is a good thing, because I have a few Picts, just no "caster" models for them yet.

Does anyone know how the minis in Mirliton's fantasy line compare size-wise to other makers like Reaper or GW, etc? I really like their trolls and zombies.
