Hi folks,
Back in the day I snapped up the middle-hammer Night Goblins by Kev Adams because they were, and still are, ace.
Since then (excepting my hobby hiatus, as so many of us experience) I have daydreamed about collecting a massive goblin-only horde, à la Andy Chamber’s skaven. Perhaps with a few fimir because they’re brilliant too.
To this day, every year or two I dust off White Dwarf 137 and become feverish with the idea again… one day, one day.
Until then I have to be satisfied with the nucleus formed from my original ‘90s purchases, as pictured below. I ought to go back to these and add some rust effects… all in good time I suppose.
Cheers,
Raedwald

It's a great start, I love the colour scheme :)
-
It's a good start, Night goblins were always the best sort of goblin.
-
Superb! :-*
I too have the one holding a cauldron and puppet on staff, and 2 or three others. :)
-
Lovely work. The muted palette really suits them.
-
Nice tones and a great collection of figures.
-
@Oshiro - Thank you, like many lurkers, I’m a big fan of your work across this forum by the way.
@voltan - Absolutely!
@Patrice, @Knight-Captain Tyr, @Elk101 - Thanks all. Despite the cartoony look of Kev Adams’ goblins I still favour an ‘authentic’ scheme; I figure goblins would have grubby rags at best, and living a subterranean / nocturnal existence they’d surely be rather pale.
Cheers all.

Love the squigs.

Gobbos! Great, stinky, nasty fellows with a cool non-vanilla paintjob. I like your „core“ really a lot. I’m excited how big the horde is gonna get!
-
Those are great, I also have that same dream. Alas prices these days...
-
@sir_shvantselot - Thanks, the toady look was a continuation of the ‘authentic’ theme.
@DivisMal - One day I hope to have something akin to Andy Chamber’s celebrated Skaven horde. I don’t expect it to be any time soon sadly… too little hobby time and too many other projects on the go!
When I do get back to this next, I have all the component parts to make up a war altar based on an original screaming bell carriage - it’s in the 5 year plan ;)
@beefcake - Very true, I’ve got one box of the plastics and a good selection of Ral Partha Kev Adams stuff already, but after that I’ll probably be looking at second-hand plastics and other manufacturers. The Bridge Miniatures Shattered Isles goblins (formerly Black Hat) look pretty good.
-
These look fantastic! I love the naturalistic palette.
The Ral Partha Europe stuff should fit in perfectly with these - including the orcs, which have the same sort of faces.
-
Those 90s night goblins also caught my interest as a kid. But, too bad they had been discontinued already when I found about them.
I wish you all the luck with the project.
-
You have some very nice figure there.
I noticed that Bridge Miniatures (https://bridgeminiatures.com/product-category/shattered-isles-fantasy/shattered-isles-fantasy-goblins/) make goblins that may mix quite well with your collection.
