After much faffing around, I finished off a model for King Memnon of Ethiopia in 28mm for the Trojan Wars inspired by John Howe's superb illustrations in Rosemary Sutcliff's 'Black Ships Before Troy'. It started life as an Egyptian chariot and Sea Peoples champion from the Northstar Kadesh range (thanks Nick), with kitbashed warriors from various Perry, Warlord, Victrix and Wargames Atlantic parts. It's highly mythical but I'm happy with it!
There's a full making-of section on the blog with more pics if you're interested: https://mogsymakes.net/2022/08/03/trojan-war-king-memnon-of-ethiopia/ (https://mogsymakes.net/2022/08/03/trojan-war-king-memnon-of-ethiopia/)

That looks fantastic! Very nicely done.
I see you also used some of the Perry Mahadist sprue bits (I used them to modify my Aetheopians).

Brilliant kitbash. Are the shields mostly from WGF Amazons ?

Many thanks! I called it a caparison but I’ll bet that’s anachronistic lol

Cheers! All the parts are in the blog post; the big shields are from WGA Skeletons, the small ones from Oathmark Skeletons and Revenants.
