I get that 3 sections (bases) make a platoon and 3 platoons a company with a company commander base. I understand that light machine guns are included in the bases and play no independant part. The same goes for the small 50mm/ 2" mortars.
However, what about Piats, panzerfaust, panzerschrek, bazooka etc? Do they have to be on separate bases?
Also, do the late war Germans with SMGs or assualt rifles have to be separate? Indeed, the Russians had separate SMG platoons/companies which I assume would be separate bases?
-
With IATW it’s a bit of both. There integral ones in late war sections and you can have 1 or 2 separate ones as well.
I don’t recall separate SMG sections, but we’ve mainly played early war.

IATW?

Infantry Anti-tank weapon - probably more of a modern term than WWII

so perhaps panzerfaust integral to late war Germans but panzerschrek separate?
What about the early war ones then for British for example - anti-tank rifles? Are they on separate bases?
-
Yes you’ll want anti-tank rifles on their own bases
And yes having separate bases for Panzerschrecks, bazookas etc will be useful too. But you don’t need too many
