I've always been fascinated by the history of the piedmont region (the region of Italy where I live). Especially its evolution from the small County of Savoy (early XI century) to the Duchy of Savoy, then Kingdom of Sardinia (and later as the Kingdom of Italy of course). It was a small country but was one of the few italian states that resisted to several invasions (especially French) for centuries.
Recently I noticed that Mirliton have some few sardinian miniatures in its range:

Then I was considering to buy some of them and paint with the uniforms of the Saluzzo regiment (about 14 km from my home).
I've found a detailed website with many informations about uniforms from Sardinia (only in italian language) too:

This should be the paint scheme of the uniforms from the Saluzzo regiment:

Somebody know other manufacturers that include XVIII century Kingdom of Sardinia miniatures?

Nice project! Me too I bought the few Mirliton codes for Piedmont
There is a manufacture that had just introduced a promising and already big range for that very army ..but you will have to buy his castings from Australia or from their UK distributor ..in both cases postage plus import taxes being a real killer

Thanks, These are nice miniatures, I could consider to buy some of them. o_o
I yet bought and painted some Eureka Miniatures (maya).
The only problem will be the time for miniatures to arrive and the infamous italian customs office. : :-[
I was considering the paint scheme of the "La Marina" regiment too, from the small navy of the Kingdom of Sardinia.
Especially if I want to create a small group of explorers for pulp adventures. (with both fantasy and historical background).
They could be the elite "Cacciatori" (Chasseurs/Hunters) too.
Here the paint scheme for the "marines":
