Title: Weathering Paper Flags
Post by: rampantlion on 01 September 2022, 04:46:43 PM
I am about to print some medieval flags and banners on plain paper and since it isn't waterproof ink I was wondering what might be a good method to do some weathering on the flags.

Thanks

I put some thin superglue on them then wipe off the residue. (Just don’t breathe in). Varnish to seal is another option. You’ll need to shape the flags first.

Very finely ground pastels or weathering powders can be used if you don't want to varnish the flags.

There's also the option of weathering the design in photoshop or a similar program before printing.

Hadn't thought of photoshop!  Thank you everyone for the ideas.
