Ok I know this isn't Zombie related but here's a couple of pics of a Pirate Drop-ship I've done for Star Mogul ( and AE Bounty when it's released).
I've used the same colour scheme as my pirates' power armour to give it a bit of uniformity.

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh :o
Am loving the red, how did you do it?
-
That is magnificent and somehow has your stamp on it (in a good way, very good way)
Better watch out for recriminations though, you are in breach - "thou shall not paint things in colours we have not told you to" ;D :D ;D :D

Lovely work :o
Great colour scheme too.

Thanks for the comments!
The colour was a bit of an accident really........ I undercoated it black and sprayed it with some cheap dark red car spray ( a rusty old can I found cheap at a car parts store). I then highlighted it using a sponge to apply some lighter red ( GW Crimson Gore mixed with dark flesh I think..) to any raised edges.
It isn't quite so bright in the flesh, the flash on the camera has over-exposed it a little.
Anyhow, I don't think I could repeat exactly the same colour if I tried!!!
I'll get the flying base sorted out over the weekend.

Beautiful! An amazing rich, vibrant red, and the detailing and weathering is spectacular. I have to say it - I've had my eye on that 40K model since it came out, for more or less the same purpose, but now here's my dilemma. By doing such a wonderful job on it you've demonstrated that the idea can work, but also that my own feeble efforts will fall so short of your wonderful paint-job that it's almost not worth doing it! Maybe.... Perhaps.... (sneaks another look at the dropship, and considers bank account.....) Just maybe....
Spectacular!

It's awesome and well done but there's no way that ship would could be flown.

That's why it's called a "drop" ship, Bako!

Nice job PM. I'd forgotten about your fantastic space pirates. Jealous!

Awesome work .... and being Red it goes faster! :-*

oooo shiny :o

:o Wha...? Where? How do I get one? :o
Absolutely Awesome looking!! :-*
Think you could duplicate that color again? ;)
-
Shiny! Looks awesome PM.

I love the colour, and how you got it reminds me of the best red I ever got on a model.
Spray black, spray with some old dodgy italian red paint I found in a box...wonderful...then the can ran out. :(
Always nice when things like that happen by sheer accident, though your finishing touches are impecable too.
:)

Great paint scheme...I really like it! Thanks for sharing!!

GW unless you were being ironical? :D

This is definitely the best rendition of that craft I´ve ever seen! It´s daring to not camouflage it and I love red! What is red goes fasta!!!

GW unless you were being ironical?
I don't do GW games. Too expensive for my blood.
Thanks, Vyper.

Perhaps, in the far future of the 41st millennium, they've developed slightly better technology than we have?
Fantastic paintjob, very impressive.

*puts ex-warhammer chap hat on*
They are VTOL craft, you see the two rounded bits at the wing tips pointing down, those are the sides of 2 more engines. so they keep it level while the main engines have a harrier style flap on them to move between take off and thrust mode.
Something like that.
:)
They are indeed about as aerodynamic as a brick, or indeed a eurofighter.

Then don't look at a Thunderhawk lol

Oh sorry for derailing this thread (calm sigh). It just always bothered me about that vehicle. I like the crew and weapon bits though.
