The AWI Regiments keep rolling along.
Here we have my Von Specht Regiment as they appeared at Saratoga.
Another splendid unit, if I do say so myself.

Kingsmt, lovely. I think AWI is a much under-appreciated period/theatre of conflict. I must try to play it more myself!

Lovely figures and painting on these and the other lot. One quick question: Why have you spread your figures out on the bases so much? They kind of look like they are somewhere between skirmish and close order with the gaps between them. Is it to meet a particular ruleset requirement for the base width?

Lovely troops!

Great looking unit...Historically they did not fight w/colors .Left back at camp. But too cool not to use.I kept mine also. Also Von Riedesel drilled the Brunswickers and Hesse- Hanau to fight in open order to show the British that they were their equal. Whether they did or not I have never for certain found out.

Jon 1066, I do not game, therefore spacing is not an issue for me.
I base most of my figures on 2 X 3 inch stands.
6 stands to a Regiment.
Why?
Because that's how I like them.
No other reason.
Games or rules have nothing to do with it.
Hope that answers your question.
