A group of abducted Landsknecht - The Vain - who after some time on the circuit succumbed to flattery and allowed themselves to be genetically modified to be bigger and stronger. Their alien owner of course didn’t explain that they would also become grotesque. They now operate as guns for hire and are lent out to the highest bidders as a supplement to regular teams on the Death Fields circuit. Coming soon!

I wasn't too sure about these from some of the earlier shots but they look good.
It looks like a fairly easy bit of trimming and whatnot if you want to remove the frilly trousers too for a more futuristic look.

Not sure how much I like the mix of futuristic and Landsknecht on these, but they could make for a cool Rogue Trader or Necromunda bodyguard. That said, I do like the heads a lot, and I love the weapon style. I think with alternate legs in fatigues, they'd be perfect in most sci-fi setting that have ogres though.

brilliant.

This hits it on the nail for me - love the sci fi bits; love the renaissance fantasy ogre build... but not 100% sold on the two sets together outside of Rogue Trader style stuff

My thoughts exactly.

I mean... I feel that many ogre miniatures available currently fail to either have enough variety for a unit, or are too stylised to fit in with most of my existing projects.
So on that basis and the more obviously low-key design of these from WA, would people feel there'd be enough demand for a separate Sci-Fi Ogres kit, designed to be mix-n-match compatible with the fantasy one?
I feel that each kit could then have more options in terms of additional heads, arm poses, weapons, and even perhaps chest components to help them fit into more people's games. For example, along with fatigue legs, the sci-fi kit could have chests that resemble some sort of flexible composite armour, an alternate body for use in a more post-apoc setting, and perhaps some rigid armour panels that can be added to ether torso. Also, additional weapons for a leader or a melee-focused unit, and perhaps some crude-looking cybernetic options too.
Personally, if both fantasy and sci-fi versions were good kits, I'd buy both! :D

WGA did an interesting thing by including sci-fi options -and I give them credit for originality-, but functionally, I see it as a very good fantasy kit with some Sci-fi extras.
You can see the fantasy pics and sprue layout here:
https://wargamesatlantic.com/blogs/news/landsknecht-ogres-preview
The fantasy side is very well attended too with the single legs/torsos being well suited for fantasy. Also, (assuming the two sprues are included in equal number) there are enough parts for all ogres to have halberds, 2 handed swords or short swords and bucklers and there are 4 different head types included in enough quantity to make the unit uniform.
On the sci-Fi side, you've got a few head options, and 4 rifles. Not a bad bone to toss the presumably smaller number of folks looking for sci-fi lanschnekt ogres, but there you have it. It's debatable whether perhaps the space could better have been given over to different fantasy options such as fantasy torso fronts as currently there are only as many torso fronts as there are torsos.
I'll be purchasing it for fantasy and stashing the sci-fi bits for who-knows-what.

I like'em. I like'em very much.
When I saw them, I felt like WGA raided my brain - Ogres for my feudal Wh40k Army!!! ;D
(Which is an ongoing project for the last 15+ years. Largely in my mind. I do buy miniatures, but I cannot manage to do some building/painting ...) :'(
Having said that ... I will buy them.

Despite my previous poo-pooing of the sci-fi versions of these I admit that if you're doing a feudal 40k army (or maybe an inquisitorial warband?) these are probably the perfect Ogryn.

For me they fall between two stools.
They are too late in design for my Oathmark army and I do not see them as being useful as genebred heavies for StarGrave/5PFH.
