Title: The Mainz 'Lamberg' Regiment (18mm SYW)
Post by: Jemima Fawr on 30 October 2022, 10:31:30 AM
This is a fairly obscure unit, being raised by the Archbishop-Elector of Mainz at Austrian expense, for service with the Austrian army.  Like the more famous Wurzburg 'Red' Regiment, it often gets described as a regiment of the Reichsarmee, but wasn't raised as such, even though it did eventually end up assigned to the Reichsarmee.  More on the blog:

Lovely work as always, a really nice addition to your army, great background information on quite an obscure regiment. Top notch sir!! :)

Obscure or not, those chaps sure look good.  I'm sure they will acquit themselves well on the field of battle...

Thanks fellas.  Yeah, definitely 'obscure' but at a load of significant battles at the same time!  :D  Definitely a handy unit to have, even if the uniforms might be wrong...

They could also double up as Blau-Wurzburg, or vice-versa.
