I hosted another The Sword in North Africa game for my club. Follow the link to my Flickr game.

Nice! That sandbag emplacement looks awfully familiar. I got a handful of them by raiding my son's plastic toy soldier sets - they are woefully undersized for his guys, but just about perfect for my 28mm troops!
-
Oh the tabletop and that game look really cool!
-
Yes, very nice game and I like the idea of the scenario - consider it duly 'borrowed'.
Now, that blue on the mosque - seems a bit over the top, not the blue-green color of islam that I've seen represented. Was there a specific reason for the blues you used for it?
-
I like that shade of blue.
-
Seriously, I just wanted a shade of blue that I thought was rich and had a little purple in it. Wasn't trying to emulate anything.

DalyDR,
That sandbag emplacement was indeed taken from a D-Day game set. I just gave it a brown wash and have used it for years.

Old Contemptable, that's another great AAR and fun sounding game! Keep posting man, you're motivating me to paint some of my French colonial lead pile.
Cheers,
JB
