Hello LAF Hivemind,
I recently came across Tobsen's site, but saw that it had unfortunately closed down. I did see that on his facebook page someone had bought up some of the models. My question is, does anyone know what became of the Tobsen77 models?

I've been sorting my gaming stuff out and just tripped over my Tobsen mini-sub and Seagull vehicles, which have been lurking in the bottom of a box of mixed scenery for... a while now. (from 2011(!): http://www.warbard.ca/2011/01/13/the-seagull/ )
Never did get any of his historical armoured cars but he certainly did nice work. Hope you found who bought his molds and that they're still in production somewhere!

My search has proven inconclusive unfortunately. I was hoping someone else found out the whereabouts of some of the models or the masters thereof.
Might have to find that Facebook post I mentioned and send the person that claimed to haver bought some masters a message.
Edit: Also! Cool model by the by, checked out the link and it has a particularly nice paintjob!
Another Edit: Also realized that Tobsen is on the forum, so I also sent him a message, maybe he knows more! Should have thought of that first, honestly! Duh! ;D

He hasn't been on line for nearly 3 years. I would not hold my breath. Unfortunately that may bode poorly in more ways than one. Let's hope not.

No clue, just hope to get to know what's what.

Thanks! The Seagull and the spherical mini-sub I bought from Tobsen recently re-surfaced in my (violently disorganized) hobby heap recently and I might to back and touch up both paintjobs, as my painting style and possibly skill has changed since buying and painting them, but I'm still pleased with the Seagull's paint scheme!
And yes, Tobsen was active on this forum at one point. Hope you're able to track down the miniatures you want and that Tobsen is doing well in whatever he's up to these days.

Tobsen 77’s stuff was cool I got several of his flying machines plus he was good to deal with.
I used to email him regularly but he sort of just vanished, I hope someone has got his moulds (though a few were getting old) and he is okay, good luck and keep us posted if you find anything.
A few of my interpretations of his flying machines…

I did like his models shame he is now off the scene.
I like the Ornithopter, I have one must get round to building it one day.
-
Thank you for sharing Captain Darling and Black Burt, unfortunately I haven't heard anything yet.

I used to cast the Ornithopter for Tobi. I know he was looking to sell the range a few years back, and I know he did sell the Orni' on as he told me, and the buyer approached me to arrange sending him the masters, and any surviving moulds.
I've had a search through my email and sorry to say I can't find a single reference to it, so can't share any hard, fast, or useful details. I'm pretty certain the buyer was German, and had bought more than one of the range.
I'd suggest asking on German forums or FB groups.
