Title: WW2 “simplified” rules - Bath Wargames club / Skytrex
Post by: Harry von Fleischmann on December 31, 2022, 11:12:41 AM
Back in the 70s Skytrex sold a WW2 1/300 starter pack, 6 German AFV & 6 British, along with a very short set of rules. The vehicles sort of matched the limited stats in the rules and as the selection of tanks ran from early to late war, it made for a few interesting games. I’ve been fond of the Matilda ever since due to its armour; I had a Tiger II in my German tanks, along with a IVH, as the rest were a mix of I/IIs and a command mkI, you can imaging which had to do the heavy lifting.

Just to ask, purely from nostalgia, if there is a copy of the rules anywhere? As I recall they had a silhouette of an airfix German flinging a grenade on the front.

Cheers, thanks and a happy new year!

I have a copy of the original Bath rules from the 70s, I'll try and pm you with them

They have origins in ideas from Bish Iwazko and Lionel Tarr
