Title: Anyone Know a Good Way of Making Stained Glass Windows
Post by: aircav on December 31, 2022, 03:35:33 PM
As said in the title, I got a MDF Church form Wargames Tournaments as a base for a chapel/church for my pulp games (well I actually got 2, I bought one myself & got one for Christmas!  ::) )

I had always intended to convert it to something more like the picture below

Rather than the actual build below (which is actually a cracking little kit for the money)

This is where I’ve got to so far, I wanted it to be a bit taller & didn’t want the stone tower.

Anyway enough wittering on, I was wondering whether anyone had a good way of making stained glass windows?

Blister packaging, cut to size, and coloured in with marker pens.

I used to have printable transparancy film for overhead projectors - don't know if that's still available though, that's become old tech.

I made on for my Victorian church that is very effective. Out for a run at the mo and will find it when I get back.

If you get a set of the coloured .005 Micron Art pens, you can hand draw whatever you like on clear plastic.  Be careful not to smudge the ink.  You can spray it with varnish and the ink won't run.

How I did mine is on pages 36-37 of my Whitechapel thread

You can normally still find it, the overhead projectors are still common options for several things, and they can also be printed on, you just won't get white in your prints so you might need to use a marker or similar to cover it. You just need to make sure that you have the right type for your printer.
