Title: Blue flowers for my bases?
Post by: Tim Haslam on 17 January 2023, 06:15:04 PM
I’m looking around for those really nice flowers various manufacturers make.
Used mainly for sprucing up your wargame bases.
I don’t use many on each army, just enough for a bit of colour.

I’m after Bluebells type flowers, however the ones I. Looking at all seem to be a fantastic, almost luminous blue, more suited to science fiction than a medieval battlefield.

Any idea who makes ‘realistic’ bluebells?
Please

I was happy with the colours on War-Painters grass but TBH I do not have any blue to check IIRC

eBay was my source https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271786927542 (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271786927542)

I need to have a 'tidy' and can look over the next few days if no one else chips in!

Thanks.

They look a realistic blue in the picture.
I may give them a punt, it’s not mega bucks is it.

Thanks again.

Mix up some blue to the shade you like & dab it onto the

almost luminous blue

That should tone it all down. It doesn't need you to paint each
& every flower, as the eye/brain combination is lazy & easily fooled.

JTT Scenery, maybe?  I've used some of their flowers before and they were pretty realistic, color wise.  Can't find a picture of them to save my life right now, but that's how it always goes, right?
