Thanks, the XXI is a unit close to my heart. I once had the privilege of a tour around Oosterbeek, with ex- Corporal Fred Weatherley. Fred lived near me, during the battle, he was the unit's CO( Major 'Boy' Wilson) bodyguard...
Fred considered me a friend.

Lovely little scene there.  Well done, Harry!

And I know what you mean about talking to guys "who were there".  I once had a chance to talk up some of the "Ox and Bucks" guys who assaulted Pegasus Bridge on D-day.

One of tthe prize possessions in my Emporium, are Denis Edward's jump wings. He joined the Parachute Regiment after the Ox & Bucks left the Airborne. Lovely bloke, his sister married Douglas Bader. A privilege to have known him.
