After putting together a largish Bolshevik force last year, it was time to make a start on some 'Whites'. I've added a HMG team from Copplestone to add to a couple of companies from Mini-figs, painted up to represent the Izhevsk rifle battalion. https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2023/01/rcw-whites-iii.html?m=0
-
A couple of test figures for the Markov regiment. https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2023/02/rcw-whites-iv.html?m=0
-
Good work, keep it up.
-
Looking good. I like the Markov's. Those black uniforms are very striking.
-
Thank you, one of the reasons I picked them after the drab uniforms of the Bolsheviks
-
Picked up a 3d printed tank to add a little fire power to my Whites
-
Finally got around to adding the extra 8 figures to complete my first unit of the Markov regiment. https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2023/02/whites-brits-and-trojans.html?m=0
-
Good work. You've been very industrious. I do like the look of those Markov uniforms.
-
Managed to get the 2nd company for the Markov officer regiment completed. https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2023/02/more-rcw-whites.html?m=1
-
I finally decided to add some mounted troops to my Whites. In keeping with the infantry already doe I decided upon the Markov horse in their Kuban dress to add to the officer battalion. https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2023/03/the-markov-horse.html?sc=1679232989550&m=1#c2842406093979920557

Nice additions. I wish I'd used those bases instead of 40mm round ones. The round ones look good individually but are too big en mass.
-
I know what you mean. I need to get some movement trays sorted for these
-
Cool looking figures, the start of great force, I’m sure.
Can I offer a suggestion on the photos - try taking them without the flash. The flash creates some very harsh shadows.
-
Cheers, I'll keep that in mind
-
Another infantry unit eventually added. The 1st Gen. Alexeyev Partisan regiment. These are Empress WW1 Russians. https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2023/04/rcw-white-volunteers.html?m=1
-
Nice. You can see why the AFSR are popular, the uniforms are striking.
-
The AFSR are very colourful so I couldn't help myself and added another HMG team. I also had the Bolsheviks on the table to organise for an upcoming club game. https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/search/label/RCW?m=0
-
Looking good. You're getting quite sizeable forces now.
-
Cheers Trev , they should get their first game in at the club on Thursday
-
Picked up an artillery piece from Irregular miniatures. Not bad and a little rougher than more modern sculpts, but it helps add a little variety to the collection. It is painted up to support the Drozdovsky regiment
-
That gun is not too bad and paints up nicely. Are the crew Irregular too?
-
yep the crew are Irregular, they are noticeably smaller than Copplestone. More likely true 25mm, But on their own perfectly fine
-
Finally got around to completing a generic unit of White infantry. They are a mix of Copplestone, Brigade and Forgotten Front miniatures. They mix together quite well. https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2023/05/rcw-white-infantry.html?m=1
-
Nice progress!
-
A few more bits and pieces added to the collection this time for the Bolsheviks. A 75mm field gun and 155mm Howitzer. I also added a couple of Rusdo-Balt armoured cars, didn't add decals yet do I can use for either side. https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2023/05/rcw-artillery-and-armoured-cars.html?m=1 and https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2023/05/rcw-red-artillery.html?m=1
-
You have a great simple but effective painting style.
-
Thank you, I'm not the most patient of painters as just want painted figures on the table so I can game
-
Those are some very nicely painted miniatures! Really nice.
-
A couple of 3d printed vehicles for the Bolsheviks. A Whippet light tank and Lanchester Armoured car. Just need to source some decals to finish them off
