Well after my casting company going AWOL,postal strikes, Swine Flu, I have finally arrived at my long awaited dream my first manufactured figures. in all their glory, they are super of course I would say that. Mike has done a great job getting that campaign rugged feel. Still a few weeks to go to get all the packs together for the big launch, V will be receiving a little package soon to get his brush skills to work on these chaps.I hope to be selling in bulk from the TARGE show certainly by Warfare I will have a good range of infantry, next to come Mutineer Sepoy's, naval Brigade, command packs, Sikh infantry and Gurkha's

Thanks also for the newsletter. I've just come back from the shops an I was looking forward in seeing the first photos and they look fab. Nice clean and crisp detail an a artist dream to paint - Well done to yourself and Mike.
Thank you for sharing and good luck with the Indian Mutiny range.

This is going to be a nice range. Thanks for your work.
-
I've been checking this site and your web page daily, waiting to catch a glimpse of these guys.
Well done - they are real beauties - well worth the wait! :-*
Congratulations and good luck with your range - I hope there is a lot more to come.
-
I sent out a newsletter last night :) sign up on the website you'll always be the first to get any updates. I will use the constant contact newsletters to inform new releases etc, send me your e-mail address i can add you to the list or forward on the newsletter, or just sign up on the site. this week we will get a few more done ready for the first packs to be packed and readied sale.
-
These look good. :)
As I don't paint vast numbers of figures think I'll look out for officer packs. Unless you intend to sell some sample packs?
-
They look superb :-*
-
All the best with your figures Brian ;)They are very nice mate.
-
I did notice that all the codes and packs had disappeared off your website - I wondered what had gone wrong! (Everything that could have gone wrong by the sound of things... )
Roll on the native forces! Can't wait :)
-
Once I have the figures packs sorted, I will put each onto the website, that way I avoid any confusion about what is and is not available
-
I've just noticed this and must admit to being previously unaware of your company.
Those figures are very good indeed and really capture the period feel of the Mutiny.
My second real "big" colonial game [first was Zulu War] was when I was part of the Victorian Military Society's various demo games in the 90's. We did a Siege of Delhi game at several shows using Foundry figures with the POW rules and John French's superb scratch-built terrain and buildings. It was great fun and I've loved the Mutiny ever since.
I'm very, very tempted to start building up my own forces after seeing these figures.
Best wishes for a lot of success with this venture!

Nice figures! I would like to see how they compare to the old Foundry Mutiny range by the Perrys.
-
Personally I hope they compare very badly. Those old Foundry ones are tiny midgets and I want some to use with bigger, more modern figures.

Definitely correct, Plynkes, but if you have a large collection of those midgets like me ... :(
Should be too late to sell them now to grab the new treasures :?

Hi
i don't have any foundry IM figs and at £8 postage for one pack, I have no intention of getting any but if someone has a spare fig lying around send it to me I photograph them together and send it back to them unharmed ;D.
I set out with the intention of making this my flagship range with the main theme of accuracy, and character, the range will build to be more extensive than foundry, but the main difference is the individual character of each figure rather than rows of uniformity. If the foundry are midgets then mine will be slightly larger as they are similar to artizan, Gripping beast, BTD etc although they don't have the BTD skinny legs lol lol lol
pm me for my address use the address on the web if anyone wants to take part in the comparison trial. I would photograph them with a ruler backdrop for scale height.

Will you have these on sale at Fiasco on Sunday? Any of the others not yet shown?
-
These look fantastic :D :D :D

Lovely looking figures. I was contemplating next years mid-19thC. India project in 15mm - but I think I've just changed my mind...look forward to seeing them "in the flesh" at Targe.

Is it just me!!
"I have greens but don't want to show them yet"
"I have castings but don't want to sell them yet"
Bizarre
I will be at Fiasco and not the other shows so I am basically losing interest already
-
Very nice looking figures. I will look forward to seeing more. I do like the period & am just starting to collect the earlier stuff. Already have a lot of 1880s to 1900 colonials.
-
I would just like to apologise for my negative post earlier.
I am an impatient git who gets frustrated when I cannot grab a dangled carrot. I will just have to wait to get my hands on these fantastic looking figures.

He'll be the one with the mullet and a flying-v guitar strapped to his back, humming Michael Schenker songs ;)

Given the poses available so far, is it correct to assume this range will be more suited to skirmish games than traditional wargaming?
Do you perhaps envisage at some point also releasing figures suitable for the Opium War?
And lastly, is it possible that you may release a couple of figures that appear to resemble a certain Col. Flash--n, late of the 17th Lancers in your range?

I certainly intend to use the figures for mass battles and skirmish, the number of packs and poses will enable a good few battalions with that campaign feel to take the field, we are developing a set of rules for next year that will deal with both aspects, I'm not a fan of lines of infantry all standing in the same pose for this period , It Certainly does not suit the campaign scruffy style that typified the Indian Mutiny regiments. "worst dressed british army to take the field"
Opium wars i will consider as it would fit well with the infantry, Naval brigade and sikh troops all we need to add is the chinese It is worth considering.
you are the 20th person to ask about a flashman figure so I might just do that with the personalities
I would appreciate any Flashman photos from the mutiny period i have some of his balaklava exploits,

He spends a bit of the book in disguise, undercover in a native regiment, as they have got wind that something is afoot and he is investigating (though I forget if he's a Sowar or a Sepoy - A Sowar would be more Flashy).
-
Now that would be nice Mutineer Christmas special figure, I'm on the case ;D ;D ;D

He was a Sowar.
-
This surprised me but they do actually fit reasonably well with the old Foundry ones too.

That's very good news! Thanks for the comparison shot, Svennn.

They would certainly work well together in the same army but in separate units. They are accurate and nicely done, but I wish the rifles weren't quite so "dainty". Otherwise they are brill! I'm prepping mine now for priming. I will say this though I really hope they will maintain continuity within this range by using one sculptor.

Too late for that wish, have you seen the artillery crew? Still nice figures but a different sculptor.
My dilemna is that I really want the officer in air pipe helmet but I do not want any figures in pugris. As these are quite prevailent in the initial releases it is limiting my buying options.
-
Good looking figures so far. I'm really looking forward to seeing more Mutineers, hope there will be plenty of variety in these.
I second the Opium Wars at some point in the future.
A range for The North West Frontier, some day would be most welcome too :)
