Flights booked. Anyone want to meet up at Oshiro for a meet and greet this year?
-
Me!
lol

That's a relief

Nothing booked or even properly planned yet, but this Salute 50 thing intrigues me after several foiled Tactica attempts and not visiting Salute since 2010. UK companies have also been largely absent from this side of the channel recently, and even the online shopping experience is quite awful these days (for breasons). So maybe I could save money by flying there and buying everything. ::)

I won#t be able to make it this year as my father is turning 85 on the date. Next year is planned though.

Hey Sterling Moose,
Have a great time. Bri g back lots of stories. Hope to see you and chat about your adventure abroad at Hotlead.
We should try and get together for some gaming sessions like we used to in the past.
Regards

Funny that!
I'll be there, but you already know that lol

We are planning to show up this year. :) :)
However, compared to our last visit back in 2018 or 19 the hotel situation seems much more difficult (getting rooms at reasonable prices).
Additionally there's the ULEZ issue that's new.
My idea now is to book an accomodation outside of all these zones and to get to Excel by public transport.
As we'll depart after the show via Dover an accommodation to the south seems reasonable to me.
Maybe someone here can help me to find a town/area that is suitable to reach Excel by train and/or DLR on Saturday without too much of travelling time?
Thanks

There's Woolwich, Deptford and Lewisham that are all on the DLR and south of the river with Woolwich being the closest. You can get to Dover from Woolwich as well which might be easy for you (if you're coming from Europe by train).
The train to Woolwich from Dover is around an hour and three quarters give or take. Driving to Woolwich, god only knows lol

Thanks a lot,
I'll check it out this weekend when I am back from Japan ;)
-
I’ll be there (to love and comfort you) ;)

Hope you have a good trip :)

I'll be there with a (small) shopping list.
-
I too will be there with a small shopping list. It's a long flight home (and I really don't need more figures).
-
I'd love too but alas I'll be manning my own little stall. Do pop over to TC14 and say hello! lol
-
Train tickets just booked. My brother and I are looking forward to a full day of the hobby. :D
Can not find my L.A.F pin badge though :'(
-
I intend to be there especially as I turned 50 myself earlier in the month so a chance to buy some new toys beckons. I'll probably be somewhere around the ex-frothers guys games.
-
Going for the first time tomorrow. It says it opens 10am but "queuing starts at 8am". Do you really have to queue for long time to get in? Thinking whether it's worth bothering if that is the case.

The queue has usually died down by 10.30am.
I’ll be on the Oshiro Modelterrain Star Wars game, come and say hello!

Thanks. Will go a bit later then. Any excuse not to get up early!

Have fun all and take lots of pictures - minor knee op yesterday means I'm staying at home as the idea of Excel and crutches is just too horrible to contemplate

Oh God yes, that would be unbearable.
Hope it recovers quickly Jon :)
