Title: Aeronef Mooring Tower?
Post by: Thunderchicken on 27 October 2009, 07:40:10 PM
I was searching the net for images of static electricity generators for another project and came across this beauty. I reckon it would look good as a mooring station for nefs:

Hey, that's pretty close!

Image is big, but I don't know how to shrink in html (pretty sure there is a way).
It seems like any structures built for dirigibles could be used synonymously with 'nef.  The Moffett airfields have some cool buildings associated with the dirigible age.

There's a huge zepp hangar down the Oregon coast south of here, too, at Roseburg.

I've never been near it on the ground, but we flew overhead early in 2009 and it's a massive, massive building.

Must get down there again and actually visit the museum there.
