Title: Valour and Fortitude Peninsula game
Post by: Rick F on 06 March 2023, 07:03:06 PM
Just two photos of a game we played yesterday using the new Valour and Fortitude Napoleonic rules from the Perrys. We used 6mm Baccus figures, but kept 28mm distances for movement, which made it very fast play. The Anglo- Portuguese force made it to the town first and was able to hold it, despite being heavily outnumbered by the French.

How do like the rules?
With 6mm figures it looks like an army battle.
Love the look.

How many turns did it take, and how long did the game last (clock time)?

How many units were on the table?

Good looking table.

Cheers, I really liked them, might go with the authors recommendation of halving the movement distances for smaller scales next time.

It lasted about 3 hours, we put a 3 1/2 hour limit on it. I think we had about 6 turns, but it was our first game. There were 3 British brigades (2 infantry 1 cavalry) 4 French (3 infantry 1 cavalry) both sides had only one artillery unit.
