I have always wanted my own Slann army ever since I first saw the GW store army in Hammersmith back in the late 80's but never got around to attempting it.
At the time I was already fully absorbed in the new sci-fi game of Rogue Trader: Warhammer 40.000, and was collecting Eldar and Space Marines at the time (along with anything that came out and distracted me from ever finishing a project!).
Having now 'finished' my Space Shark Company I thought it was time to try and tick another long forgotten box.... Time for the Slann!
Using the original figures is an almost impossible task given their current price and scarcity.
The only option seemed to be to sculpt some.
So here they are
The sculpts...

Lovely sculpts! Good luck with your KS!

OUTSTANDING! I loved the Frog Fellows when you first started posting them on FaceBook. They turned out even better than I would have imagined, They are brilliant creations, among the finest miniatures you have done. They would enjoy my Swamp I am sure. VERY WELL DONE, Amigo!

Those are awesome!

Thank you for the nice comments.
Much appreciated,
:)

We will have to see about arranging a visit, I guess.

Here are a few more shots of the Frogs from different angles, along with the Young Mage, who was absent in the first shot.

mine dropped through the letterbox today, before hopping into my waiting hands :D
Early delivery, very nice figures and nice clean castings :D A forest with tribes of these guys and the shield-headed figures from a company whose name is on the tip of my tongue, should make for some fun games :D

Great to hear that you got them so quickly and, more importantly, that you like them.
I look forward to seeing what you do with yours.
:)
In the meantime, I have finished another eight...

I had initially missed this thread, but that's some great work, Paul! 8)
The more obscure and forgotten parts of GW's miniature lines have always held a huge attraction to me. The lore behind the Slann, and them being one of the glues between the settings of RT/40K and WHFB, is really fascinating although I'm more interested in the Space variety myself.
Couldn't dream of ever creating a viable force of them though, let alone sculpt them!
Good luck on expanding on these green lads; a full army of them would be a sight to behold for sure :)

Thanks, chaps.

Well, I am considering doing some 'Space' versions of these....
