Title: 1501 Siege of Faenza exhibition and book...
Post by: Condottiere on March 16, 2023, 03:40:51 AM
Borgia besieges Faenza 1501: the exhibition. Interview with the curator Davide Bandini (https://ilpiccolo-org.translate.goog/ilpiccolo/2022/06/borgia-assedia-faenza-1501-la-mostra-intervista-al-curatore-davide-bandini/?_x_tr_sl=it&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=sc)

There's a book about the siege, in Italian and with plates by Giuseppe Rava, but I haven't been able to find an ISBN or a webshop listing it, to find the price and postage options.

L'Impresa di Faenza by Davide Bandini (https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=pfbid0j6QBzPV72STBkr1PVbU75e7NmXGeWYQ1YAV55cCrjn4PAkYnALCwJQvwPo69omYCl&id=100051111677742)

:o We needs it, my precious!

I need to do something like that, too.

Edit: can’t find the book, either. As a curator myself, I know that many of these publications never reach the mainstream booksale. Best way is usually to contact the museum who hosts the exhibition.

The bookstores that carry this book are mentioned in Rava's September 24, 2022 (https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=pfbid02byNEkgBJVw3WsQSrEUHQM81ywwa9H7o3814amhVEoy6skZxmhJEJFDWQuqMxn7Qdl&id=590032097752808), Libreria Moby Dick, Renzo Bertaccini and soon also at Cartolibreria Sorelle Resta, but they don't have a website or web catalogue, so you have to message through Facebook, Instagram and etc., so not convenient - I'd like to see prices up front.

 :o

I'm looking at almost $50!

TBF, late last year, I ordered one figure from Grimforge in Italy and the total came to €19,00: €9,00 for the figure and €10,00 via tracked airmail.

I know, international postage is crazy these days.
I rarely buy anything from the States now, and I used to quite regularly.
I thought we were supposed to be a global village!

Surely someone will import some in bulk and sell at reasonable prices?

For us folks in the states it is probably worth checking with On Military Matters. No affiliation, but I've bought several books from overseas from them and have always had good service.
