Starting off with two Hasslefree minis.
Larran Jax - a "trader" armed with modified Shard rifle

Corporal Thoran - armed with the KW10DU/F ‘Shard’ Assault Rifle, and outfitted in the lightweight ‘Halcon class’ scout armour and wearing the sensor heavy ‘Hormiga’ helmet

They will be part of my Stargrave team and other Sci-Fi skirmish games.

Those two are extraordinary - you would think you are looking at painted 54mm figures !
-
I like these. The camo looks really odd but in a good way. The style is unusual but interesting too. Nice work.

Thanks! You are too kind :-*

Thank you! At first I was going with plain green pants but my wife suggested camo :) Its not brush painted tho - decals from Greenstuff World.
-
Painted another one for this group.
Cpt. Nee Sun also from Hasslefree Minis
Equipped with in the standard ‘Lobo’ class powered armour and carrying a KW10DU/F ‘Shard’ Assault Rifle.

-
Nice job! The coloured stripes and panels on the white armour look sharp.
-
Thank you!
I wanted something to break the flat white so I added some orange here and there.
-
Painted two more.
Lt. Merys Thoran (on the right) and Pvt. Chapman
Both armed with the KW10DU/F ‘Shard’ Assault Rifle and outfitted in the ‘Lobo class’ powered armours.

Given the trouble I have with decals, that's probably even more impressive than if it had been freehand lol
Good work with the white as well. It's a colour that I try to avoid, as I find it nothing but trouble
-
Thanks! :)
Same, I try to avoid black and white colors as they are difficult to shade.
With this team I wanted to achieve a clean look so went with white (which is actually a very light grey) with minimal battle damage.
-
Nicely done 8)
-
Thank you!
-
Excellent job on those! I especially like how the helmet visor turned out - did you use some of the fancy ‘interference’ paints to get that reflexive effect? It certainly looks good.
-
Very nice. I have these figs, I must get off my arse and slap some paint om them.
-
Great stuff :)
-
Nice work. The tint on the visor looks great.
-
Thanks guys! I'm glad you like them. :-*

I used "colorshift metal" paints from Greenstuff World for the visors.
-
Thanks for the information, I will look for those when I’m shopping. They give a good effect on reflective surfaces.

You're welcome!
I really like them, got few colors from that line. For best effect they go over black base coat. In theory you can apply them with brush but look so much better when sprayed with airbrush.
Here is space marine with his armor painted in one of those colors (I think its the same as visors). I'm not great at taking pictures but you should be able to see the effect better as its bigger surface.

6 up 4 to go as another member of my space squad is complete.
Steve - space platypus outfitted in custom-designed amour, with an IR-Win cyber-eye, and is armed with a railgun of unknown origin.
Mini is also from Hasslefree.

That is too funny for words (and a fantastic paint job).
-
Your whites are honestly incredible. Thanks for sharing.
-
Thanks guys! :)

But is that a semi-aquatic egg-laying mammal of action?
-
I must say I never seen this cartoon before. :)
Got two more done. They both have combat pouch harness with spare ammo and some other stuff.
Unfortunately there are only 4 operators in this set that actually have spare ammo which brings them to 6 spare mags for the entire unit. :) I guess the far future wars will be fought with laser point firing accuracy. lol
On the manufacturer website they are called Lt. Weisser (pointing guy) and Sgt. Rowland. They are both equipped with ‘Lobo class’ powered armour and helmet, and armed with the standard KW10DU/F ‘Shard’ Assault Rifles.
I was thinking about giving the pointing guy some sort of squad leader insignia but decided against it. They already have too many officers for such a small unit for my taste.

Those look great! I like the hard sci-fi figures and your paint jobs suit them really well.

I really like them, especially how the platypus man fits the rest.
-
Thanks!

And the final two for my space squad - Lt. Col. Morrison (on the right) and Pvt. de la Fuente
As the previous pair both are outfitted in the ‘Lobo class’ powered armour and helmet and armed with the standard KW10DU/F ‘Shard’ Assault Rifle.
They actually have few more on their website so I might get the them at some point in the future but for now its a nice unit of 10.

I will try to get some group pictures later this week.

Got some pictures of the entire group. I'm going to use them as my crew for tomorrow's game of Stargrave.

That’s a great looking team!

Thank you!
I'm happy with how they turned out :)
-
They look great as a group :)
-
Thanks!
Looking forward to play them tomorrow :)

Captain Kev - this eccentric space Captain is known for his bizarre dress sense and love of ancient Japanese game shows.
Mini by Hasslefree.
Something completely different than my usual stuff on the painting desk. Also very fun to paint.

Just finished painting Andreah from Hasslefree Miniatures! She’s quite tall. Armed with a massive vibra-blade and a customized blaster, ready for anything.
She could be a pirate, mercenary, or even a rogue trader.

I like the colours.
I see that you have the same issue as I do with your phones camera simplifyng the colour transitions.
-
Thanks!
Yeah, I'm not very good at photographing my minis—though it's not for lack of trying
-
Yeah, me neither.
The only solution I've found is increasing the picture resolution, but then I can't use zoom and I find it impossible to keep everything in focus.
Ho hum
-
Andreah is awesome -- love the color choices and the prismatic effect along the blade... :-*

Yeah, I got the same results. :)
