I’m considering Mordheim for the first time ever. I have a plastic sprue of Wargames Atlantic Conquistadors that I ordered a while back, and I’ve just ordered a plastic sprue of Frostgrave “Tribals”. I’m thinking of coming up with a mixed Warband.
I’m thinking of a warband of Old Worlders that has gone to fight overseas and the survivors have now returned with a few native “friends”, who will join them in their new adventures in the Old World.
Has anyone ever used such a combination (“Spaniards” with Native scouts) in a game of Mordheim?
If so, how did that work out?

No need to try and force them into the city of Mordheim itself.
There is a wonderful alt setting for the core rules called "Lustria: Cities of Gold"
originally developed here:
