Rules are nearly there now. Just a couple of tweaks to the movement cards and damage system needed

Looking forward to seeing more!
I've been using a modified set of Canvas Eagle rules I made, but haven't played since November (1/35 ww2 skirmish wargaming got in the way).
-
The cards used to move are based on the Canvas Eagles manoeuvres. You lay down two at a time, flip one and do the move, then lay another. Tailing lets you see the next card being played. Damage is mostly done by making you discard cards, reducing the things your plane can do.
-
Any further details you can give us - the scale/size of the aircraft and the width of the hexes, for example?
I've used Wings of War/Glory and Algernon Pulls It Off (Too Fat Lardies) for miniatures gaming and have a lot of WW1 aerial boardgames, so I would be interested to see the approach you have taken.
-
The aircraft scale can be whatever you want. I use 1:72 models on hexes about 3 inches across. But a hex just needs to be big enough to hold a plane. The stands I use are telescopic magnetic pickup tools which give 6 altitudes, but you could just mark altitude with a dice; I prefer the 3D look.

Looking forward to seeing them Steve

I too am looking forward to seeing more of this.

Well, after a further playtest, I'm happy with the rules.
You can find them here:

The rules include the cards you need to play, and stats for 8 planes (by some strange chance, the 8 1:72 planes I own)

Seems like a nice game, I like the variable height idea.
-
Fabulous Steve, are you planning on adding other aircraft? Early war in particular
Cheers

Rules look easy enough, great going Steve!!! I was going to print them out but thought I'd wait to see if you have any updates. Right now I'm fiddling around with my own set of no frills rules.

Not planning any updates

Thank you!

Sorry, I hadn't noticed that you had replied to my questions - thank you!
