This is THE hardest group to pick who to vote for. All are so good, you should be very proud; really great stuff.

Outstanding job all. Lots of epic builds this year.

Yes to that comment.

The Chronomancers Tower is fantastic, dark and sinister from a distance but with loads of little colourful details to admire when you look closer.
Needle Rock Portal is wonderful and a bit bonkers. A really spectacular setting for a game.
Spaceman Came Travelling is really effective at creating a scene that looks both somehow familiar and recognisable as some sort of shrine or temple but also unnervingly strange and mysterious. I have been puzzling over why the main staue is made up of smooth curves while the two rows of pillars are made up of slab sided blocks that look relatively simple in comparison. I am starting to wonder whether the giant figure is actually a statue all...
All different and all great.

Thanks for the comment :D To save derailing this thread, I've posted the thoughts that were behind the piece, along with some modifications sparked by your comment over on the build thread

Great work everyone, such talent on this forum.
Inspiration for the 'also-ran' like me.

The bad batch ;) :D - the group which seems to have caused most voters to despair, judging by the tightness of the votes at the end. Congratulations to ichwillauch and the Needle Rock Portal with its daring young skeletons on the flying trapeze - or at least hanging off anything. Snictythedog and zemjw produced superbly weird entries which stoke my love of weird builds, superb show.

Congrats ichwillauch. Superb build. Zemjw I still do not know how you managed to paint in all those runes in time. Thank you Vanvlak for running this one.

Echoing Snitchy on the congrats to ichwillauch and thanks to Vanvlak.
If there were two builds I'd rather have not gone up against, it was these two. Still, it wasn't the rout I expected, so there's that :D I kindof wish I'd voted for myself now, but that didn't seem sporting ;D

That was a long week o_o Contrast paints came to the rescue, as they flowed into the runes and had enough pigment to still show up. I did realise later that it would have been easier if I'd printed the blocks using green filament, but hindsight and all that lol

All excellent - the voting was justifiably close. Well done you three :)
