I want to buy the airfix kit of both Befdford QLT and QLD but dont have much use for the trucks except for troop transport. I understand that the QLT was considered the troop transport version of the truck but did the British also move troops around in the QLD? Does anyone know? I am sure they did it from time to time but was it commonly used that way?

No expert on this but the QLD was classified as general service so it would of been used for moving just about anything about. Lots of pictures on the net of QLDs full of troops. Needs must.

There are lots of pictures on the Net of troops in QLD's? What are you searching under?
In any case, I wasnt curious about whether they ever used the QLD to transport troops but rather if they assigned this model of truck in large numbers for this purpose.

The QLD could carry troops however it was fitted with stiffer springs (so rough ride) and not fitted with seat fittings, there is a good rabbit hole on serial numbers and allocations somewhere. Also no winches were fitted on them apparently.
Cheers

My mistake, lots of pictures tagged QLD`s but on closer inspection clearly QLT`s. ::)
