Finished up another temple for Frostgrave. Called this one the temple of the laughing god as it uses the daemon head with the disintegration portal from Tomb of Horrors and laughing was the best way to describe it. At this point it is done enough. It does need another highlight to tie the surface color together and weathering but I needed it ready as we are playing a game at the club tomorrow.
Foamex with some 3d printed parts, 15mm minis and scratch built elements. Hope you like

That's no laughing matter!
A great and imposing build. I agree that another highlight might work to bring out the details a bit more, but overall, it's a nice, brooding, monolithic temple demanding, rather than requesting, worship... 8)

Lovely work, & I do like it, so if you're giving it away... lol
-
Super freaky .... I like it!

Another brilliant build.
I'd love to see some full tables of your stuff to see what you play on.

Amazing build! Loving the bakery on the blog, too.

Thank you all for the kind words.

This was tonight's game. We played the Left hand and the Right Hand. Loads of fun. Buildings were close enough that people could jump between them and with how built up it was it played merry havoc on the statues line of sight. It ended up targeting things further away than you might expect.

The narrow alleyways made for some interesting lines of sight for archers and wizards as targets would appear then disappear just as quickly.

Impressive table! I would like to play on that.

Unbelievably good!! :o Strong Fritz Leiber’s Lankhmar vibes! :-*
-
fantastic.

That city looks absolutely magnificent! :-*

Brilliant table! 👏🏻

Oh my, that table is amazing.
I think I need to look at how we set up our tables as they are quite sparse compared to yours.

Thank you for the kind words. It does change the dynamic in the game. Engagements tend to be a bit more bloody when they occur and wandering monsters play have more of an effect as they can block a whole alley in an instant.
-
Superb, the temple and the table are great 8)
-
Looks like part of a set from Game of Thrones. Well done.
-
What an awesome table! So atmospheric.
-
That table is superb - especially those street level shots. Exploring a city should involve narrow alleyways and side streets as well as wide boulevards and market squares. That set up looks like a real place and you have avoided the trap (that my group have fallen into in the past) of simply evenly spacing all the available terrain out across the board without considering whether it creates a believable place.
-
Excellent stuff.
I'd love to get a game on a table like that, where's your club?

A bit out of my way unfortunately. Your club members are very fortunate to get to play on such great tables.
Looking forward to whatever comes next :)

What a dream table, really awesome stuff :-*.
I’m sure there must be a pun about them “not laughing now”, but I can’t quite put my finger on it :D

Bloody fantastic. Such great building and painting, just awesome! :o :o :o :o :o :o

Wow very impressive work!
