Title: A bit worried
Post by: Lowtardog on 09 April 2007, 10:26:23 PM
I am becomming a Colonel Marbles but this is my last figure to point out. He is a freebooter mini and looks to be the ideal dandy straight out of Plunkett and McLaine

Over on the Frothers Unite forum, "pulling a Col. Marbles" means you are posting something that you think is new but other people have been posting about for a while.

I've added a picture of the good colonel to my signature.
Ah... home sweet home... :)

Sometimes it's good to be away from home...

I really love this one, prof! Who makes these figs? I understand the Colonel is a FU-UK fig, but the inmates? Excellent Cthulhu material!

Westwind. Freaks from one of their lines. Westwind's entire catalog is an enigma wrapped in a mystery. Kind of like Hungary.

It's Hungary now, is it? Bored with Poland, then?

I once went out with a semi-Hungarian girl called Ildikó, which it turns out was the name of Attila the Hun's wife, too. Like the rampage of the Huns, it was fun while it lasted. And like Attila himself, the relationship ended badly, dying of a nosebleed in a drunken stupor.

If possible, I love Poland even more now, because one of my great uncles got the geneology bug and now it seems my mother's grandmother was an illegal immigrant. Twice. Once in Germany and once to the US. Best guess at the evidence seems to point at her maybe being a Silesian cousin of the Beyers of Bavaria.

I had to work with a Hungarian contractor this last week. He was short, swarthy, and completely batshit insane. Kind of like Westwind's catalog.

PS: Oh god we're threadjacking here, too. This is your fault.

Funny, my middle name is Attila (I'm not a bit Hungarian though, to my knowledge at any rate). Should I be worried?  :)

Oh, and: *Slaps own wrist* Bad threadjacker! BAD!
