Hello,
Recently I got interested in GW Lord of the Rings Middle Earth Battle companies ruleset.
Here are the 3 first Mordor Orcs, they will be part of my Minas Morgul battle company. I am also painting a fiefdom battle company.
The mini's are from Reconquer Designs, who mainly sculpts 10-14th century Spanish mini's, but he is also a big LotR fan.

Sorry, photos not showing for me
Which is a shame as these sound interesting

Thought it might be the ?dl=1 On the end of the urls. But not, so may be permissions on Dropbox?

These look great. How did you do the central shield?
-
Lovely work on some great looking figures, will be interested in seeing more. :)
-
Great sculpts. The mail in particular is very well done!
-
Wonderful work. The shields I think are excellent.

Thank you for the kind words!

Yeah, I noticed before that not everybody could see the pics when shared with Dropbox.
Here are two pictures as attachments. :-)

I did paint that one mid april, the other sword / shield orc I painted last week, as you see the wood colour of the shield is not the same. I forgot which colours I used :). When I paint the next shield orc, I will try to replicate the first shield and share the colours. :)

Oh these are lovely! The minis are much closer to what I imagined from the books.
Btw your earlier pics are showing when I check in from the pc but not when I’m using my iPad

Thank you!
Yeah, that is his plan. So no plate armour as in the movies.

Those are excellent orcs - very nicely painted!
-
Excellent painting though not sure about the green skin. Tolkien's orcs varied from black skinned to dark brown or sallow.

I agree- very impressive.
-
Thank you all!
I started working on orc 4, again a sword armed orc with shield, but he also can be armed with a spear instead of a sword. After that it's two orc archers and a black Numenorean.

Yeah, maybe I should alter the skintone to a more dark / brownish colour. I now used for the skintone the AoS Kruelboy tutorial from Warhammer+.

Small update:
For the fiefdom battle company I added Alrin, a knight of Dol Amroth.
It's not really clear in the picture, but he has a mail cap, so his mouth is covered with mail.

Huzzah for Dol Amroth! Gorgeous painting, and thanks for bringing the love to Imrahil's men. Love the choice of full chain hauberk, too!
-
That swan knight is awesome! The orcs are also really great :-*
-
Great work!
-
He is just great. Well done
-
And orc number 4 :-) The running one.
The bases aren't finished yet, I haven't decided how I will do the bases.

After a long drought, a small update.
New pictures, zoomed in mercilessly :o Next time, I will try to do the faces better.
For LotR (Battle Companies) I will use the left one as a Blackroot Vale archer, the middle one as a Clansman and the right one as a Local scout or Wandering Woodsman (Community edition). (All Reconquer Designs miniatures)
I am going to paint more and maybe I will use them in the future for the new Barons War "fantasy" expansion.

They look very nice! I especially like the pattern on the blue tunic on the spearman on the left.
How do these compare with more heroically scaled minis? I like them lots, but I've gone the route of picking miniatures from a slew of fantasy ranges for my LotR project, and they tend to be more chunky in comparisson with the usual historical fare...

Thanks!
It depends, which heroic fantasy miniatures do you have in mind?
