Has anyone found a metallic primer that would suit as a basecoat for 40k Iron Warriors? Don't want to paint all that silver by hand!
Any recommendations would be welcome. Looking for something that gives a smooth, even, flat coat.
Thanks!

Humbrol aluminium spray might be the way to go.

Maybe Army Painter Gun Metal Spray.

I used Behr Hammered brand black then a light spray with their Antique Pewter. This was for my Iron Warriors that I did in the fall for the Paramar game we did a few months back.
You can see them here to see what you think:

Thanks all for the responses, this is really helpful.
Pictors Studio, that dark metallic shade looks great. Is it textured or is that just a weathering effect you've achieved on your iron Warriors?

I put an Agrax Earthshade wash over them. Then weathered them with weathering powders.

Games Workshop has a metal spray as well (fairly sure about that), and I suspect Tamiya do one.
What I couldn't find yesterday was a bronze spray :( Brass, gunmetal, no problem, but bronze? Nope :'(

Citadel has reduced its range of paints.
Army Painter has metallics and there are often other acrylic sprays at your FLGS.

I'm pretty sure GW still do Leadbelcher spray, colourforge do Steelforge Silver which is colour matched to it.
I use Leadbelcher spray, washed down with a 1:1:1 mix of agrax earthshade/nuln oil/medium, then drybrushed up with a brighter silver (can't remember which, possibly Vallejo game colour silver).
