I haven't played AK47 for a while, but a visit from Zingara led to several different
War-games, a quick AK47 (It don't take me long to lose. lol) was one.
I only managed to start my defence with two units. A militia unit hanging back in a village,
and my heavy hitting power (3 Saladin a/cars) well advanced. They were to make life
difficult for the attackers until I could get some re-enforcements on.
Move one & instead of the expected two tanks as his forward troops, the sky darkened,
two Allouette Helicopters with rocket packs. In very short order they shot up the a/cars.
My militia were so far away they could only watch.
It did not improve from there.
With naught but suicidal bravery the militia charged out of the safety of the village & put a
wall of lead into the sky. Down in flams came one chopper, but the other stubbornly refused
to go away. Wave after wave of attackers entered the frey. A bayonet charge by my only
re-enforcements merely delayed the inevitable & white flags were raised.
Still it was a fun game & Zingara, who 'Will be writing the history' on this battle amused
himself with dicing up his own flag & country. Part of the fun of these Peter Pig rules.

Brilliant stuff! Love the armored cars and the choppers. I am slowly cobbling together faux-Afghanistan armies and will be using the old version of AK-47. Your post is an inspiration!

Good luck with your AK47 adventure. they are a great set of rules for a game with friends.
The 'A tank is a tank' simple approach means you can use anything you fancy.
My 'Army' force has two T34-85s. They break down so often I am thinking of painting up
an Italian WW2 motor-trike as an RAC recovery vehicle.
lol lol lol

Hah. Now that's funny. :D
Great AAR, by the way, even if things went south for you...

Some lovely photos
AK-47 at one point was my favourite game…had masses of units for it, but the really daft thing is that I can’t even remember now why I stopped playing and sold everything off ;D

If you are anything like me, it would be because you do 'it' to much & get bored with it.
When DBA came out it had the effect of tearing through my (ancients) lead mountain.
In less than a year I went from absolutely no DBA to over 40 (yes forty!) armies. Then
within another year I sold off all but 2. I am now picking up bits & pieces from e-bay
to make a few more matched pairs.
I think you are about ready to make a pair of AK47 forces. Drag out your rules (or buy a
2nd hand copy) get out the kids' crayons, dice up a flag & see what cheap vehicles & infantry
e-bay can provide. You know you want to.
:D :D :D
