Title: BEF Highlanders
Post by: Adey on 03 November 2009, 01:33:34 PM
Finished painting these today. They're unvarnished as some alterations may be needed.

:-*Very nice - thats the second batch you have done is it not?

These are very high on my wants list but not quite at the top of my need list yet - the thought of the stockings and cap bands is not helping them climb up either ::)

Very nice. These are the ones I've ordered from Musketeer. I really hope I will get them.

Yes Svenn second batch and a lot more to follow as they're released BillT gives them to me to paint. As far as the Tartan, Chequered bands and hose go they're quite intense but not that difficult when you have a formula. When and if you start on your own perhaps I'll put together a tutorial. There was an article I saw in last months Wargames Illustrated that may be of help.

Real nice. It’s always nice to see some well painted early WWI figures.
WWI is one of my favourite period (can you see that by my avatar picture? lol )

I just received my first batch of Highlanders from Bill in the mail.  Photos like this make me glad I purchased them.  Hope I can paint as well as these.
