Finally got my first warband painted up (they still need clear coat but too humid to spray). I wanted something atypical from the usual forest ranger trope so I thought of a saracen/arabic/moor type of prince on a pilgrimage to battle evil forces.
L to R: Fakiri archanist (gripping beast), Nasir El-Khadib ranger (hasslefree), Badour guardsman (hasslefree) will make the core group

Other members that will make appearances, L to R:
Knight (hell dorado), recruit (frostgrave), conjuror (frostgrave), couple of archers (fireforge), and man at arms (fireforge)

And finally the setup for mission 1 scenario 1

I think i may need to get a few more spiders though. Really looking forward to actually playing a game.

Looking good!

A lovely job on the painting and an interesting varient on the usual suspects!

Great looking warband - the miniatures work well together under the paint scheme you have chosen. The set up for the first scenario also looks grand. Looking forward to reading the AAR.

great stuff.
really like your grass-mat too.
Is that DIY or?

It's a grass sheet for model railroading, it's 33x36. I added some different color flock, grass, turf with some watered down pva to make it more varied in appearance. Some grass still falls off so I might spray it down again. It doesn't lay completely flat either so it might not be a good long term option but it was something for me to try.

ah, right, thanks.
come's across very well in your photos.

Great looking group, really good choices of minis and a nice cohesive paint scheme.
The scenery looks convincing too.
What do you think of the game?

@hubbabubba i have only played the first scenario but i enjoyed it, especially being solo centric. Combat was easy to pick up, quick, and made sense to me. I did have to read the monster movement rules a few times before I kind of got it (target points was the confusing bit mainly), I misread a couple scenario specific things (clue results not repeated) but overall i like it. I'm still working on the AAR thread but already looking forward to the next scenario but have to get a few monsters. I think that's the best part for me is motivation to buying, painting miniatures as prep for the next game.

That's also what I found most satisfying, in terms of building and painting scenery too.
Lookinhg forward to the rest of the AAR.
