F Troop arrives to investigate a recently-abandoned army base (my newest built chain link and barbed wire fences)
My players got in our fourth installment of our post-apocalyptic campaign using Fistful of Lead Core Rules. The survivor gangs were investigating a recently-abandoned army base. They were searching for clues on what happened to the soldiers who'd been stationed there, and possibly hoping to scavenge some useful equipment or supplies.

Gun battle erupts between two rival survivor gangs -- the Blood Brotherhood and the Followers of the Dark Prophet
Gun battles between rival gangs broke out almost immediately upon sighting each other. The pickings were relatively slim (or ignored) for most survivor gangs. Some, upon seeing the bloodstained floors and signs of soldiers' (?) bodies being dragged off, grew spooked and exited early. Likely whatever had attacked the base was drawn back by the new gunfire, and this spurred even more gangs to beat a hasty retreat!
Read the full report and see lots more photos on my Lead Legionaries blog: We played out the fourth scenario of my post-apocalyptic campaign using Fistful of Lead Core Rules. The survivor gangs of six players searched an abandoned army base, firing on each other and scavenging for some supplies. Read about the mystery of the recently-abandoned base on my Lead Legionaries blog:

Excellent spontaneous narrative, just my kind of game!

Great game and report. I'm looking forward to seeing how this campaign progresses. I also have my own theory on what the mystery opponents are ...

Love the fences!
-
I second Cats remarks on the fences, how did you make them, the corrugated roofed buildings are none too shabby either.
Cheers

The fences are a modified boxed set (two, actually) from Monster Fight Club Scenery. Here's my blog post about how I modified them. Out of the box, I think they are good for people playing "click games" that want 3-D. However, us miniature wargamers never found a kit we couldn't trick up a bit, eh?

The quonset huts are from the "Dust" line of terrain:

I'm usually all for scratch-building my own terrain, but certain times I feel the store-bought piece is every bit as good as what I'd make by hand and at much greater time sink.
Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

I have 3 of those quonset huts in my "to paint" queue. And now I know where to get more! Thanks, Mike!
I, on the other hand usually don't go much for scratch-building. I likes me store- or internet- bought stuff... :D

Nice option, definitely should be quicker than the 'plastic canvas' ones you scratchbuilt for Mean Streets.
I'm keeping both tutorials on file, thanks!

Mike thanks for the info, I looked for the huts in the UK and they seem to treble in price, then postage doubles that!

I’ll bet someone makes printable paper ones. We should get Martin to research it :).

If it helps, try Amera in the UK. Their range of vacuum formed buildings includes a Nissen hut for under a a fiver.

I believe they've been OOP for a while, and are pretty sought after - much like the AT-43 containers.

I actually tried to give away those previous ones that I scratch build to my gaming crew, Sunday. No one wanted them. I was heartbroken - I didn't think they looked THAT bad! :'( :'(
Thanks for all the kind comments, folks - I appreciate it!

What?!? I think they look great!
I'll trade you, I've got a handful of diecast 1970s muscle cars by Jada that are marked 1/64, but are much more like 1/56 and do not mix with actual 1/64s.

Thank you, sir! I just can't believe it has been so long and no follow-up game, yet...! I have all the terrain I wanted done complete. So, it is just a matter of scheduling it now.
