Well, while it went from "it'll be done in a few weeks" to being a process spanning more than a year, I'm about to wrap up another game.
Learning from my mistakes last time with Shoot N' Skedaddle (i.e. don't ship games to large channels...you get nothing out of it) I'm looking for some suggestions of YouTube channels which have a decent, but reasonable following and who run the channel as a hobby, instead of a job. I'm looking to contact some smaller channels and send them a copy of my new game.
Just looking for the smaller channels you guys follow? I'm looking for channels which have at least a couple thousand followers, but are not commercialized (i.e. Games Workshop drone channels, etc.). I know when channels become successful they switch to major market products and all that stuff - I'm avoiding those channels.
What are some of your favourite smaller channels which may be interested in a post-apocalyptic skirmish game?
PS: U.S. Based only. unfortunately - international shipping costs more than the game itself, and I'm already going out-of-pocket enough sending out the samples!

Might want to have a look at the “Little Wars TV” guys. US based, but not sure what their response would be as they do have their own products as well.

Don't follow any of them.
Remember, don't think of this as "You're getting a free game!" but more like "Here's some more work for your to do to give me free advertising".
Personally, I'd build up interest in the game with sessions reports on LA and other relevant sites. Contact regular responders if they'd like a playtest PDF copy and join your FB page, with the eventual request for a review and/or their own session reports in exchange for a physical copy. LA session reports were how I finally picked up Five Leagues from the Borderlands, and now I'm posting pics on LA and their FB group, as well as supporting the game with Q&A and fan content. I think you even started the Post a Pic LA thread, so should post pics of your game and ask for reviews or whatnot.
Of course, you yourself should have a YT channel dedicated to your game, such as tutorials, a walkthrough of a session, etc. Include a link to a PDF quickstart, which you can host on DriveThruRPG. If your content synergizes with other products, you can even contact other creators to ask if you can promote *their* work in your media promotion.

Yep, already got all that stuff covered, hence this thread asking a more specific question.
PS: Little Wars TV is a solid channel (if a little 'fudsy') but this game is outside of their realm of interest I'm quite sure.

Possibly Joy of Wargaming but without knowing what period / genre I'm just guessing...

Bolded the line above, it's for a post-apocalyptic/sci-fi style skirmish game. Think Necromunda/Judge Dredd, etc.

I must admit to only watching a few and they're rather well known I suppose. But maybe it helps...
Eric's Hobby Workshop - Mostly GW related and terrain building, but he's open to new stuff I reckon. Also, I believe he's Canadian
Black Magic Craft - Has just released his own skirmish game so might not be willing to advert competing games. Also; mostly about building terrain. Another Canadian
Tabletop Minions - Discusses all kinds of games and is not invested in any particular system
