Hi folks,
while over at FIASCO, I had a thoroughly enjoyable chat with Tannenberg (of RifRaf Miniatures), which ended in me purchasing a platoon of Spanish Infantry (in addition to the FT17 kit I had already bought from him).
Here´s the first section painted now.

And the tank, with the paint scheme based on my interpretation of B&W pics from this (presumably well-known by now) website (http://home.comcast.net/~dapena/tanks/dominguez/dominguez.htm).

I´ll paint the remaining infantry platoon first (which will be a decent-sized T&T force in itself) and then buy an MMG and probably the Rif Infantry platoon at Recon in early December. I´ve also gotten a number of books on the subject from my university library and will, hopefully successfully, collaborate with Tannenberg and Driscoles to produce a "Mini-Supplement" for Triumph and Tragedy for the 1920s Rif War, scheduled for Spring 2010 at the earliest, though.

Lovely work Chris. Any chance of some close ups?

Here you go, Ma´am!

I usually refrain from such blow-ups because it shows how atrocious my painting skills actually are. The other images are about "lifesize" at 1280x800 screen resolution.

Bless you Chris, the painted miniatures look fine to me an I'm sure to everyone else.
Thanks for enlarging the photo.

Great stuff Chris. I saw the miniatures at DUZI and they are tiny...but nice. Looking forward for their Legion figures.

Nice work!!! I have some riffians. They are very small, but have a very fine and elegant modeling.

Nice work Chris - particularly considering FIASCO was on the 1st Nov, and you posted the minis 5 days later.
:)
